Ashaki Ayoka (she/they) has a vast and unique background.

A first generation Jamaican-American, Los Angeles native, narrator, voice actor, podcast host, writer and tech industry leader. 

Ashaki is fluent in Jamaican Patois having learned her family history as far as 100+ years back via oral storytelling. She could say that her whole life is a never ending audiobook. 

Raised in a melting pot of culture and diversity, her unique background gives her an ease with many languages such as Spanish, French and German and accents such as Jamaican Patois, Received Pronunciation, Southern American and others. Her academic and professional background includes medicine, anthropology, sustainability, aerospace and wellness/yoga. Ashaki specializes in creative, scientific and technical writing.

Ashaki’s vast array of experiences is clearly heard in genres such as non-fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, mystery and thrillers. She also enjoys narrating middle grade, YA, folklore, mythology, and cultural stories.

Ashaki Ayoka means, beautiful princess that brings joy to all. Through her narration she dreams to empower, inspire, thrill and bring joy to all of her listeners. 

She also narrates under the pseudonym Rowan Au for the very spicy genres.
